I have been a professional portrait photographer since 2009; however, I have been shooting my entire life. When I was a 5 year old girl, my father gave me a broken Brownie Box Camera. I went door to door taking pictures for 25 cents, because I thought it was the coolest thing in the world to stop time. Unfortunately, my camera did not work and I had return all my quarters. I went on to pick up a camera in high school and from there my love affair with film began. I later graduated from the Arts Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in Portraiture.
As a portrait artist, my greatest love is capturing the connections between people. The love we have for one another transcends from one lifetime to the next with every image. When I was 15 years old, my grandmother gave me a portrait of herself for Christmas. Little did I know how much that picture would mean to me one day. We lost her a year later to a Fibroid in her lungs. Today, her portrait is one of my most prized possessions and I was able to share her with my own children. Family is my highest value. I want the best for my family and yours.
Before your Photo Shoot. Either over a cup of coffee in the studio or Skype, we will discuss you specific goals for your photo shoot. Whether you are requesting a family session, a custom newborn session or something sweet and sexy to send to your beau while he is away, we will make a plan to create something special for you.
The Day of your Photo Shoot. You will meet with my extraordinary team for professional hair, makeup and wardrobe styling. This process takes approximately an hour and half. After meeting with my team, we will spend approximately one to three hours creating your portraits. During our longer sessions, we also provide a light lunch or snacks to keep you going. This will be a perfect day to share with someone you love. I usually tell my clients to schedule a night out after their portraits session, because you will look fabulous!
After your Photo Shoot. I will retouch your images and create artwork for you will love. Two weeks from the date of your portrait session, we will meet in person or via Skype to review your images. It is my objective to create portraits you cannot live without; therefore, only purchase the ones you love.
